Resistor Voltage Divider

A resistor divider scales a higher voltage to a lower one using two resistors in series. Vout = Vin × R2 / (R1 + R2). Common uses include setting reference voltages for ADC inputs, bias networks, and feedback dividers for regulators. The output impedance of the divider is R1 ∥ R2.
